Raila’s latest demands to Ruto as new mass date is announced

At Jeevanjee Gardens in Nairobi County, Raila Odinga, leader of the ODM party, strongly called for the restoration of food subsidies to cushion Kenyans from the high cost of living.

He further stressed that taxes must be reduced within 14 days, noting that the current high cost of living has caused many learners to drop out of school.

Therefore, the government ought to subsidise school fees to ensure a 100 percent transition rate. Raila further accused electoral deceit and called for servers to be opened and audited under the auspices of a reputable firm or organisation.

He noted that failure to do so, the opposition will lead Kenyans to take action to restore their authority and voice.

He also insisted that the ongoing process of reconstituting the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) must be stopped and a bipartisan task force should be put in place to oversee the restructuring the electoral body.

“If demands are not heeded within 14 days, we shall lead Kenyans to mass action across the country to restore sanity,” Raila warned. To further his point, Raila quoted the Bible and reminded Kenyans of Prophet Amos’ warning.
